LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
FOR SAPPHIRE PRODUCTS
- Warranty Coverage & Period
FANMASTER SDN. BHD. (“the Company”) warrants SAPPHIRE brand products against manufacturing defects arising from normal domestic use within West Malaysia only.
The warranty period shall commence from the date of purchase from FANMASTER SDN. BHD. or its authorized dealers.
As the Company offers various fan models with different specifications, the applicable warranty period for the motor, electrical parts, LED components, and other spare parts shall be as stated on the product’s warranty card and/or specific model description.
Warranty coverage, terms, and duration may vary from model to model, and the warranty information printed on the warranty card shall prevail.
- Warranty Registration & Validity
This warranty is valid only if all the following conditions are fulfilled:
- The warranty card must be completed accurately and submitted to FANMASTER SDN. BHD. via online registration on our website within fourteen (14) days from the date of purchase, failing which this warranty shall be deemed null and void.
- The warranty card must be presented together with the original purchase receipt issued by an authorized dealer when service is required.
- The warranty card is non-transferable and non-replaceable in the event of loss.
- This warranty is valid for domestic use only within West Malaysia.
- The warranty card must bear the authorized dealer’s official rubber stamp.
- Free First-Year Door-to-Door Service Charges
- First Year:
Service charges are fully waived during the first year of the warranty period. - Second Year Onwards:
Service charges shall apply from the second year onwards. Charges are subject to the number of fans involved and shall be based on the quotation provided by FANMASTER SDN. BHD.
- Warranty Exclusions
This limited warranty does NOT cover, and all transportation charges, service charges, and parts shall be chargeable (even within the warranty period), under the following circumstances:
- Parts and accessories subject to normal wear and tear, including but not limited to external appearances, scratches, dents, cracks, noise, fan balancing, wall switches, power points, remote controls, light bulbs, and batteries.
- Failure to present the warranty card and original receipt when service is required.
- Incomplete, unclear, or altered information on the warranty card, including alterations to the date of purchase, model number, or serial number, or where the serial number has been altered, removed, deleted, or rendered illegible.
- Products repaired, tampered with, dismantled, altered, or modified by unauthorized persons or technicians.
- Damage occurring during transportation arranged by or from the customer.
- Defects or damages caused by misuse, negligence, accidents, rental use, abuse, public disturbances, household pests, fire, lightning, floods, natural disasters, pollution, corrosive chemicals, excessive dust, abnormal voltage supply, generators, or the use of stepless regulators or dimmers.
- Damage or defects arising from incorrect installation, improper use, lack of maintenance, renovation works, system debris, or build-up of lime scale.
- Injury to persons or animals, or damage to property, whether directly or indirectly, resulting from failure to comply with the instructions stated in the instruction manual.
- Damage caused by chemical reactions, overheating, smoke points, or environments deemed detrimental to proper fan operation.
- Use of non-original, imitation, recycled, or unauthorized parts not approved by FANMASTER SDN. BHD.
- Limitation of Liability
This limited warranty excludes all liability for any consequential and/or incidental damages, including but not limited to loss of use of the product, loss of income, or any indirect or direct losses arising from the event giving rise to the warranty claim.
- Product Usage & Service Limitations
- All SAPPHIRE fans are for indoor use only, unless otherwise stated.
- Ceiling fans equipped with ABS material blades are not suitable for installation in areas exposed to oil fumes, such as kitchens or cooking environments. Installation under such conditions may void the warranty.
- Door-to-door service is applicable only for ceiling fan installations below 12 feet (3.6 meters) from floor level.
- No door-to-door (on-site) service is provided for exhaust fans, wall fans, table fans, stand fans, or tower fans.
- Service(s) and/or installation at special locations, including outskirts, islands, highlands, or mountainous areas, shall be chargeable, including transportation, food, and accommodation expenses. Charges shall be communicated and mutually agreed upon prior to service.
- Spare Parts & Sales Policy
- All spare parts purchased directly from FANMASTER SDN. BHD. are covered by a three (3) month warranty from the date of purchase.
- Goods sold are not refundable or exchangeable.
- General Terms
- FANMASTER SDN. BHD. reserves the rights to make the final decision on all warranty claims.
- FANMASTER SDN. BHD. reserves the rights to charge transportation fees for unnecessary service attendance (e.g. service requests for non-FANMASTER or non-SAPPHIRE products).
- Any parts replaced under warranty shall become the property of FANMASTER SDN. BHD.
- No SAPPHIRE dealer, agent, or employee is authorized to modify, extend, or add to this warranty.
